Robert Roy "Bobby" Hamm

Robert Roy “Bobby” Hamm, Jr., 95, passed away on August 17, 2024. He was born in Nashville on July 17, 1929, to the late Robert Roy, Sr., and Rebecca “Reba” Haywood Hamm. Bobby enjoyed going on walks, watching cowboy movies, and cheering on his Atlanta Braves. He treasured his morning devotionals and reading his Bible. He also liked doing word searches. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, having a meal especially his hamburgers and taters.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Belle Hamm; children, Ann Romines, William Maynard, Roy Michael Hamm, and Rebecca Melton.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children, Robert Allen (Teresa) Hamm, Terry (Penny) Hamm, and Gina Winchester; stepdaughters, Rita (Wayne) Underwood and Billie Atkins; 25 grandchildren; too many great-grandchildren to count; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 10:00AM until the 12:00PM service time in the Chapel at West Harpeth. Following the service, Bobby will be laid to rest in the Knob Creek Baptist Cemetery in Columbia, TN.
