Rodrigo "Ernie" Aguilar

Rodrigo Ernesto “Ernie” Aguilar passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born in Nashville, TN, on March 12, 1963, to Rodrigo Aguilar and Cecilia Elliott Aguilar. Ernie was a happy little boy who attended Gower Elementary School, Bellevue Middle School, and Hillwood High School. When he was 14 years old, he spent almost two years in Costa Rica where he knew and loved his family there. From childhood, he had a great love of music, which dominated his entire life. Through the years, he played with several bands and met many people.

Ernie was preceded in death by his father, Rodrigo “Rod” Aguilar.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife FenFen; mother, Cecilia Aguilar; siblings, Valerie Aguilar, Ronald (Patricia) Aguilar, Maria (Frank) Carter, and Ana Pinto; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 10:30AM until 1:30PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Services will begin at 1:30PM in the West Harpeth Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to Ernie’s preferred charities: the American Cancer Society or the National Psoriasis Foundation in Ernie’s name.
