Ruby Sexton

Ruby E. Sexton, age 80, of Nashville, TN passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at her home. She was born on April 23, 1939 to the late Jessie Stephens and Mable Stephens Denney in Gallatin, TN.
Ruby is survived by her children, Stephen Sexton(Jennifer), Karen Strong(Tommy), and Sandra Goolsby(Bryan); grandchildren, Jonathan Sexton, Zachary Sexton, Ross Strong(Nicki), Sadie Goolsby, Carrie Morken(Steven), and Benjamin Goolsby(Nicole), and Carson Goolsby. Ruby is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Madilynn Morken, Anthony Morken, Addison Strong, and Clayton Strong; and her sister Peggy Lemons, and other nieces and nephews.
Ruby was a member of Charlotte Road Baptist Church and most recently, Bellevue Baptist Church. She held positions such as an office worker and hairdresser for several years, but the one she loved the most was just being a mother. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, gardening, and ceramics.
A Celebration of Life will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 5:00pm in the chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Friday from 3:00pm until the time of service.
Visitation will also be held at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin, TN on Saturday, December 28th from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Ruby will be laid to rest at 12:00pm on Saturday at Crestview Memory Gardens.
