Ruby Hamm Veach of Nashville passed away at her home Monday, February 26, 2018. She was born February 2, 1935 in Manchester to the late Eliga Avon and Lela May Patterson Hamm. Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Veach; son-in-law, Cecil Birge; six brothers; 1 sister; and Sadie the dog.

Ruby is survived by her son, Eddie R. Veach (Alevia Orr); daughter, Sandy Birge; grandsons, Lea Carver, Kennith C. Veach and Andy C. Veach; granddaughter, Kaela Hawkins (Nick); sister, Margaret Ruth Carter; nephew, Jimmy Jackson (Pat); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 1st from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 - 11 am at West Harpeth Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
