Teresa Freeman

July 11, 1961 — September 5, 2023

Teresa Meadows Freeman of Kingston Springs, Tn passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the age of 62. She was born on July 11, 1961 to Jerry and Twyline Meadows in Jackson, Ms.  She graduated from Wingfield High School.

Throughout her life, she was a fixture in both her local community and church. She always put God first and dedicated her life to living for the Lord. She was an active member in the choir, a Sunday School teacher, worked in both the Children’s Dept. and Youth Dept., and had a leading role in First Church’s “Azusa Street” play many times. She also was very active working in the Cheatham County School District for 30+ years. She was involved in multiple athletic programs and invested more than 25 years in Harpeth High School’s Wrestling program.

Professionally, she also worked as a nurse for many years, including pioneering the orthotics program for Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance, and working as a nurse for the Tennessee Titans. She worked in the music industry for several years as well. Later in her career, she and her husband purchased a jewelry store, Forever Jewelers, which brought her great joy.

On a personal level, she never met a stranger and was loved by all. She was the life of the party! She always invited guests to her Holiday family gatherings.  She loved to give both of her time and possessions. She travelled the country, went on mission trips, and even went to the Super Bowl!  Her favorite place to visit was the beach! She was a prayer warrior and taught her children how to worship at a young age! She loved her childhood sweetheart, Gary, her children, grandchildren, and extended family deeply. We were reminded recently, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. While we mourn her absence, we celebrate that she has been fully restored.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Twyline Meadows and nephew, Desmond Lovern. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her spouse, Gary Freeman, married for 43 years.  Her Children: Chauntay (Ryan) Larkins, Rob (Ashley) Freeman, and Wesley Freeman. Her ten beautiful grandchildren: Grace, Jackson, Whitman, Kathleen, Wallace, Brance, Wynslee, Kingston, Georgia, and Wyatt.  Her siblings, Angela (Joey) Lovern and Bubba Meadows and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Friday, September 8th from 4-8 PM, and on Saturday, September 9th from 10 AM – 12 PM. Teresa’s Celebration of Life will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Bluff View Memorial Gardens in Kingston Springs, Tn.
