Troy Wayne Evans, 85, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1939, to the late John and Rubie Evans. Troy graduated from Cohn High School in 1957. In his earlier years he worked as a quality assurance inspector for Western Electric/AT&T. He was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church for many years before moving his membership to Charlotte Rd Baptist Church. Troy enjoyed the outdoors, sports, traveling and his dogs.

Troy was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Evans; parents John and Rubie Evans; brothers, Leslie and Roger Evans.

He leaves behind his daughters, Tara Richardson (Andy), Noel Ogle (Tim), Cher Tawater (Tim); seven grandchildren, Keeley Lee (Austin), Matt Ogle (Taylor), Brandon Peek (Brittany), Hunter Kilmon (Brandi), Wyatt Tawater, Jacob Ogle (Kelsey), and Savannah Tawater. Troy also leaves behind eight precious great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 -11:30 on Monday July 14, 2025, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30 am on Monday immediately following visitation. Following the service, Troy will be laid to rest in the Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery.
