William Betts

William Franklin "Frank" Betts, Age 70, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

He was born September 24, 1950 to the late Wm Harbert and Ruth Betts. Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Edna Powers.

Survived by his wife of 34 years and best friend, Rilla (Bitsy) Betts; son, Jason (Michele) Counter, of Cary, NC; granddaughters, Anna, Katie and Caroline Counter, also of Cary, NC.

His granddaughters were his pride and joy. Poppa Frank loved to buy them ice cream, take them to see fireworks, and teach them how to use a squirt gun.

Frank was a long time employee at WSMV-TV and Opryland Productions. He was a Mason and a Shriner. His faith in the Lord was deep and his friends were many.

There will be no public service due to COVID. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations appreciated to Alive Hospice or Friends of Warner Park.
