William Ray Webb, 77, of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara G. and William J. Webb, and a brother, Jerry M. Webb.
Mr. Webb is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Neely Webb, two children, Tricia Greer (Jonathan), and Julie Littrell (Ben), four grandchildren, Tanner Smith, Justin Littrell, Hannah Smith and Neeley Jo Littrell, two siblings, Wanda Hall (Mike) and Nancy Bozarth (Randall), and a host of extended relatives and friends.
A proud veteran, Mr. Webb served his county with honor and dedication. He was in Vietnam from August 1969 to August 1970. His love for music and remarkable singing voice brought joy to all who knew him, whether in church or around a campfire. He was deeply committed to mentoring young people, serving as a Boy Scout assistant leader in the 80’s and a Sunday school teacher to teens, where he inspired countless lives with his wisdom, faith and kindness. He was an elder at Pasquo Church of Christ. He also devoted 32 years of loyal service to Aladdin Industries. His passion for helping others extended to his role on the Board for New Heights Christian Community Services, where he championed initiatives to uplift his community. He will be greatly missed.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit on Friday, November 29th, 2024, from four o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 30th at one o’clock in the afternoon at the funeral home with an hour of visiting prior to the service. The committal service will immediately follow via an escorted cortege at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 TN-100 in Nashville.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations to be made to New Heights Christian Community Services, P.O. Box 92228. Nashville, TN 37209.
