Doris Mccrary

Doris Christine McCrary, 93, of Nashville, went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus and her family on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was born to the late Monroe and Ruby Irene Johnson Warren on November 2, 1929. Doris enjoyed reading and being a homemaker, especially cooking. She also enjoyed telling stories of her childhood. Above all, she loved being a mother and grandmother. Doris had a heart of gold filled with love for her family.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. McCrary; daughter, Carolyn F. Biggs Cable; granddaughters Rhonda Pack and Michelle Hargrove; and brothers, Monroe Warren, Jr., Jimmie Warren, and Roy Warren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving sons, Jerry Hines and Fred (Cathy) McCrary; daughters, Linda (Roy) Lane, Shirley (Geoff) Wilford, Tammy (Scott) Senter, Marilyn Musser, and Samantha McCrary; sisters, Nola Thomas, Rosa (Buck) Hazlewood, and Barbara (Jess) Motschenbacher; grandchildren, Roy (Stacy) Lane, Jr., Ericka (Matt) Cole, Morgan Selph, Jordan Selph, Kayla Dodson, Kelsey Dodson, Marty Musser, and Timmy Hines; her best friend and cousin, Betty Day; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 2:00PM on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00PM in the Chapel at West Harpeth.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Al on the Care Team at the West Meade Place for the love and care he showed Doris.
