James Hollis

James E. Hollis passed away on March 18th, 2023. He was born on November 8th, 1953, to parents, Virgil and Susie Hollis. He was a beloved husband, daddy, poppy, brother, uncle, and friend. James graduated from Cumberland High School in 1971. He was retired from Metro Nashville Public School’s Maintenance Department.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Susie; And brother, Tommy (Joan) Hollis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah; Daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Brian Meyer; The lights of his life, his precious grandchildren, Logan and Amber Meyer; Brothers, Charles, Bill, Ernest, and Rob Williams; Sisters, Donna Hollis and Mary Hunter; Sister-in-law, Rita Hollis; And numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on March 26th, 2023, from 2-5pm and again the next day on March 27th, 2023, from 10-11am. A service will be held on March 27th, following the visitation at 11am.
