Michael Cronic

Michael (Mike) Cronic, 69, of Nashville, TN, passed away on February 26, 2023. He was born in Athens, GA on August 22, 1953, to the late Doyle and Neil Cronic. Mike took his leave after seeing his Dawgs win back to back national titles.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Gates, brother, Bob Deal (Jason), sisters, Jagir Grant and Cathy Cronic and many nieces and nephews that he loved like his own children.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie Cronic, their son, Clay Cronic, and brother, Don Cronic.

Mike was passionate about music and the Georgia Bulldogs. He had an incredible voice and was a wonderful guitar player. He treasured the bands he played in over the years - Sister Sapphire, The Normaltown Flyers and The Philcos. One of his joys was sharing his beautiful voice and guitar skills with the local nursing homes. He will be deeply missed by many.

A private service will be held at Harpeth Hills on Saturday, March 11, 2023. A celebration of life for family and friends will follow from 2:00PM - 4:00PM the home of niece, Jessi Grant. Arrangements entrusted to West Harpeth Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to W.O. Smith School of Music in honor of Mike. Go Dawgs.
