William "Bill" Peek, Jr.

William “Bill” Alvin Peek, Jr. departed this earth on April 13, 2023 in Nashville, at the age of 58. Born in Knoxville, TN, he was the first of two sons born to the late William A. Peek, Sr. and the late Ella “Jean” Hargrove Peek.

He is survived by his children: Blair Porter, and her husband Josh; Lauren Ellis, and her husband Greg; Christian Peek, and his wife Chelsey; Austin Peek; and his significant other Claire, Austin Hannah, Jordan Keef, six grandchildren, his brother Jim Peek, and his wife Suzie; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ella “Jean” Hargrove Peek and father William A. Peek, Sr.

After being born in Knoxville, TN., he moved to Nashville where he was raised. He graduated from Hillwood High School and attended Belmont College (now Belmont University) to study music. He worked in video distribution after college for several years and went on to open and own a successful small business in the Nashville area. Bill grew up attending Brook Hollow Baptist Church with his family, but attended other churches as an adult, often listening to Sunday morning service from behind his drum set as a part of the worship band. He played in many bands over the years and will always be remembered for the amazing drummer that he was. Bill had many interests: sports, music, going to concerts, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. It was often said that his love language was food, he was the king of “dad jokes”, and he had the best sense of humor no matter the situation. He will be missed tremendously.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 2:00-5:00 PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be held on Monday, April 17 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Brook Hollow Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 17 from 11:00 AM at Brook Hollow Baptist Church.

While flowers are welcome, you might also consider sending gift cards to restaurants as Bill’s children and grandchildren meet to celebrate and remember his love for eating and spending time with family.
