Our February Caregiver of the Month

Shawn Owen, Laurel Bowman, Mike Hamilton We are happy to announce our Caregiver of the Month winner for February 2016. Mrs. Laurel Bowman of Guardian Hospice. She is such a great example of being a compassionate Caregiver and so much more! Laurel was nominated by Ron Bottomley and he wrote: "Laurel is Executive Director of Guardian Hospice in Nashville, she gives her time there. She is the President of VETLINX, a non-profit geared towards the care and benefit of America's Veterans, she gives her time there. She is the Service Officer for Vietnam Veterans of America and has processed hundreds of claims in the past few years, all of which were approved for benefit to the veteran, she gives her time there. As if that were not enough, Laurel is a wife and mother of a young daughter. Laurel spends much of her evenings and early morning hours filling out paperwork. Laurel is a giver from the get-go and always finds time for others before she looks for time for herself. She's attentive, a great listener and asks qualifying questions to complete any task. Each monthly Caregiver Award winner will receive a gift card that can be used for whatever the recipient decides and a 3D crystal key ring. At the end of twelve months the review committee will select the Caregiver of the Year to be revealed at the Annual Luncheon.
